Consulting Services for Schools

Built on 20 Years of Doing the Work

Every service Adansonia offers to schools comes from direct, hands-on experience — not theory. I have built IB programs from scratch, led five-year program evaluations, designed experiential learning trips across three continents, and trained teachers and leaders in schools across Europe, Africa, and Asia. What I bring to your school is a practitioner’s understanding of what actually works, combined with a consultant’s ability to see your institution clearly from the outside.

Integrating sustainability and Environmental Education

Curriculum Design and Resource Development

Our team specializes in supporting schools to integrate environmental education and sustainability principles into their curriculum.

At New Nordic School in Finland, I managed a team of 20 educational consultants to design an interdisciplinary Pre-K to Grade 12 curriculum now used by schools in Spain, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Japan, Portugal, and Uruguay. Before that, I spent eight years at the International School of Tanganyika designing and refining curriculum in a department of eight teachers across multiple IB programs. As an independent consultant, I also produced original educational resources for the IB ESS syllabus and MYP Integrated Sciences, including video content, digital tools, and print media.

I build curriculum that teachers actually use and students actually engage with. The difference between curriculum that looks good on paper and curriculum that works in classrooms is implementation — and I’ve been in both rooms.

I can help your school with:

  • Interdisciplinary unit design aligned to IB frameworks and national standards
  • Curriculum mapping across programs and grade level
  • Integration of sustainability, environmental education, and global citizenship
  • Custom learning resource development in print and digital formats
  • Assessment design and rubric development
Learning is a journey. Literally.

Experiential Education Design

I have conceived, planned, risk-assessed, and coordinated experiential learning programs for hundreds of students across Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Cambodia. These include multi-day expeditions to the 4,652-meter summit of Mount Meru, an annual biology and environmental science field course on Unguja Island in Zanzibar, week-long biodiversity study tours in the Usambara Mountains of Tanzania, wildlife conservation and service learning programs in Mondulkiri, Cambodia, and sustainability initiatives in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. I also built a Model United Nations program that took students to conferences in Kenya, South Africa, Jordan, and the Netherlands.

Our specialized service learning programs for students and teachers include a comprehensive needs assessment process and effective impact measurement systems. Every program I’ve designed connects directly to curriculum objectives, includes structured pre- and post-trip learning, and is built with safety protocols appropriate to the students and the situation.

I can help your school with:

  • Full experiential program design from learning objectives through logistics
  • Curriculum integration frameworks for field courses and service learning
  • Risk assessment frameworks and safety protocol development
  • Post-trip reflection and assessment design
  • Program evaluation and continuous improvement
Educators love learning

Professional Development

At New Nordic School, I led professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders in client schools across Europe and Asia. At AISPP, I provided ongoing instructional coaching and supervision for 25 teachers across the MYP. At IST, I managed and mentored a science department of eight teachers and four technicians over eight years.
Effective professional development changes what teachers do on Monday morning. My workshops and coaching engagements are practical, grounded in classroom reality, and designed for immediate application.

I can help your school with:

  • IB MYP implementation workshops for teachers and coordinators
  • Instructional coaching and classroom observation cycles
  • Assessment moderation and standardization processes
  • AI integration in teaching, planning, and assessment
  • Leadership development for department heads and program coordinators

Engagement Models

School consulting engagements are scoped individually based on your institution’s needs, timeline, and existing capacity. Most engagements fall into one of three models.

Focused Consultation

Best for: specific, bounded questions — a curriculum review, a single workshop day, or targeted IB documentation support

A short-term engagement of 5–15 hours delivered over days or weeks, typically addressing a single well-defined challenge. This model works well for schools that have internal capacity but need expert input at a specific moment in their development.

Starting from $1,500 USD

Project Engagement

Best for: schools working toward IB authorization, designing a new program, or building a curriculum framework across a grade band

A structured engagement of 20–60 hours delivered over one to six months, with defined deliverables, regular check-ins, and a clear scope of work agreed upon at the outset. Most curriculum design, program evaluation preparation, and experiential education design projects fall into this model.

Starting from $4,500 USD

Ongoing Partnership

Best for: schools that need sustained support across an academic year — curriculum development, teacher coaching, and program leadership working in parallel.

A long-term retainer engagement of up to 10 hours per month, with flexible allocation across service areas based on your school’s evolving priorities. This model is best suited to emerging international schools building multiple systems simultaneously, or schools in the authorization pipeline who need consistent, experienced guidance throughout the process.

Starting from $1,500 USD / month

All engagements begin with a complimentary 30-minute discovery call. Travel and on-site delivery are available and quoted separately. Workshops and professional development days can be delivered virtually or in person.
